Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents particularly the District Collector, Chennai 600 001 and the Tahsildar MambalamGuindy Tahsildar Office, K.K.Nagar, Chennai - 600 078 to grant patta in respect of the petitioners plot Nos.117A, 34, 84, 5 and 56 respectively in Survey No.394 an extent of 590 sq.ft, 1150 sq.ft., 1150 sq.ft., 800 sq.ft. and 670 sq.ft., respectively at Dr.Jahir Hussain Street, M.G.R.Nagar, Chennai- 600 078 forthwith.

For Petitioners : Mr.K.Balakrishnan For Respondents : Mr.R.Vijayakumar for R1, R2 and R4 Additional Government Pleader Mr.B.Kesavalu for R3 C O M M O N O R D E R By consent these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal. 2.Petitioners claim that they are rightful owners of plot Nos.117A, 34, 84, 5 and 56 respectively in Survey No.394 at Dr.Jahir Hussain Street, M.G.R.Nagar, Chennai- 600 078 and like them, there are about 2000 persons who have got allotment of the plot in the year 1996 and pattas have also been given to them. The grievance expressed by the petitioners is that persons similarly placed have been given patta but they were not given patta and in this regard, submitted representations dated 04.09.2014 to the respondents which were also acknowledged by them and in spite of which they have not been favoured with any response, hence came forward to file these writ petitions.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners drawn the attention of this Court to the order dated 23.02.2015 made in W.P.Nos.4487 to 4496 of 2015 batch and would submit that this Court in similar facts and circumstances has directed the fourth respondent namely, the Tahsildar, Mambalam-Guindy to pass orders on the said representation and same orders may be passed in these cases also. 4.This Court heard the submissions of Mr.K.Balakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondents 1, 2 and 4 and Mr.B.Kesavalu, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.

5.This Court without going into the merits of the representation directs the respondents 2 and 4 to consider and dispose of the representations dated 04.09.2014 in accordance with law, and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioners.
