ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the alleged offences under Sections 379, 511 of IPC r/w Section 21(4) of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, in Crime No.63 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

Based on the information, the raiding team had gone to the Kalahastipuram lake to check the illegal mining of sand. At that time, on seeing the raiding team, the persons have abandoned the two tipper lorries and two JCBs and fled. The tipper lorries bearing registration numbers TN 70 M 7299 and KA 41 C 0094 and the JCB's bearing registration numbers TN 70 AB 8653 and KA 06 Z 2096, were seized and the owners were traced. that the petitioners 1 and 3 are the owners of the vehicles and the petitioners 2 and 4 are drivers of the vehicles, who abandoned the vehicles and fled from the scene of occurrence. 3.

Considering the conduct of the petitioners who were using heavy vehicles to excavate lake sand unauthorisedly, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.
