ORDER
This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order dated 02.07.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.17140 of 2024, thereby directing the respondents to disburse the retirement benefits under the Contributory Pension Scheme, within a period of two weeks.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents complied the order passed by this Court and the same was also duly communicated to the Principal, Raja Anna Government College for Women, Thirunelvelli District by the communication dated 27.11.2024. He also produced a copy of the same before this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not paid gratuity in pursuant to the representation submitted by him.

In the order dated 02.07.2024, this Court categorically recorded that the petitioner is not entitled for gratuity and it is coming under the Central Act. The respondents have nothing to do with the
gratuity. Accordingly the petitioner was paid retirement benefit under the Contributory Pension Scheme. Therefore, no contempt is made out as against the respondents and this petition is liable to be dismissed. 5.
