Counsel (TNEB) accepts notice for respondents 3 to 5. With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.08.2023, in and by which, the petitioner sought for disbursement of compensation amount in connection to the land acquisition proceedings, within a specific time period to be stipulated by this Court.

3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that even though he has given a representation on 12.08.2023, till date, the first respondent has not taken any action on the said representation.

Since this writ petition is filed for Mandamus simpliciter, to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any view or opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the interested parties if any, as the case may be, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
