ORDER

[Judgment of the Court was made by S. M. SUBRAMANIAM, J.,] This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for their wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 04.09.2025 passed in W.P.No.33727 of 2025.

2. The operative portion of the order dated 04.09.2025 in W.P.No.33727 of 2025 reads as under:

"10. Impugned communication has now become infructuous as coercive action, if any, can be only subject to proceedings under said 1905 Act. Therefore, impugned communication is dislodged albeit with preservation of rights of State in the aforesaid manner.

11. Certiorari limb of captioned WP is allowed. As regards mandamus limb, it is open to the State to consider the writ petitioner's request for patta. In the light of what we have written regarding coercive action, captioned Writ Miscellaneous Petition (WMP) thereat has become otiose and the same is disposed of as closed. There shall be no order as to costs."

In view of the direction issued by this Court to consider the petitioner's application for the grant of patta, the learned Special Government Pleader, would submit that the authorities have considered and rejected the application filed by the petitioner. Therefore, the direction issued to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner has been complied with.

4. If at all, the petitioner claims patta on any other grounds on merits, it is to be adjudicated in the manner known to law. However, this Court does not find any wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 04.09.2025 passed in W.P.No.33727 of 2025.
