ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.41 of 2013 and to file final report and to take appropriate action against the accused persons, in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondent.

3. Pursuant to the order dated 28.10.2015 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.23085 of 2015, the case in Crime No.41 of 2013 has been transferred from the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Anti-Land Grabbing Special Cell, Kancheepuram District, to the file of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, who has been further directed by this Court to allot the case to a competent Inspector of Police to proceed with the further investigation.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case CD file has been received by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, on 04.04.2016 and the case has now been allotted to the Inspector of Police, Team - II, Land Grabbing Cell, Central Crime Branch, Vepery, Chennai - 600 007 (R3).

5. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to expeditiously complete the investigation within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In view of the above, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
