This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's renewal of permit applications for the Town bus permit (Route No.2) "Perur to Polytechnic" for the period starting from 196 to 2026, in respect of the vehicle number TN-38-F-1838, forthwith.

2. Heard Mr.K.Hariharan, learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Mr.K.Karthick Jeganath, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent.

4. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

5. Without expressing any opinion on merits, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application for renewal of permit, under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, in the light of subsequent development and order passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court, in W.A.Nos.1670 to 1672 of 2003 and 1722 to 1725 of 2003, vide, order, dated 5/3/2008.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
