Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the order passed by the 2 nd respondent in proceedings No.DO;DGM (PVV):DA:VIG:93905953:2018-2019 dated 01.02.2019, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to engage a lawyer in the departmental enquiry held against the petitioner pursuant to charge sheet dated 12.07.2016.

Mr. K. Srinivasamurthy, Senior Counsel COMMON ORDER Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that subsequent to the petitioner approaching this Court by filing the writ petitions, the respondent authorities have passed an order in disciplinary proceedings initiated as against him and the petitioner also availed further remedy of appeal and as such, the present writ petitions have become infructuous.
2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that pending the present writ petitions, the respondent authorities have passed an order in disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner vide order dated 19.12.2019 removing the petitioner from service and against the said order, the petitioner has also availed the remedy of appeal and the same was also disposed of by the Appellate Authority, vide order dated 12.08.2021, confirming the order of the Disciplinary Authority.
3. Having regard to the aforesaid submission, since the petitioner subsequent to filing of the present writ petitions, having taken part in the disciplinary proceedings and also having assailed the orders in the appeal, this Court is of the view that the relief sought for in the present writ petitions has become infructuous and as such, no further orders are required to be passed. Accordingly, these writ petitions are closed. No Costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
