PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first respondent to produce the body of the detenue by name Jayashree, aged about 19 years and from the illegal custody of the 2nd and 3rd respondents before this Court and set her at liberty. 1. The detenue Ms.Jayashree has been produced in Court. We are told that she is 19 years of age. We have interacted with the detenue/Ms.Jayashree. She says that she has married the son of the petitioner, one Mr.Aravindkumar.

Respondent No.2 is the father of the detenue, while respondent No.3 is the paternal uncle of the detenue. Mr.Jayaprakash, Advocate appeared for respondent Nos.2 and 3. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The learned counsel says that since the detenue/Ms.Jayashree wishes to remain in the company of Mr.Aravindkumar, he has no objection to the same.

Hence, no further orders are called for in the petition. The detenue, being major, she is entitled to take a decision concerning her own life. Accordingly, consign the petition to record.
