The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of petition pending before the 2nd respondent (Sub collector) dated 05.10.2025 seeking inclusion of the petitioner and his wife's name in the birth certificate of their adoptive son viz., Hariharan.

2. Mr.T.M.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 4. As no adverse order is being passed against the 5th respondent, notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted a representation dated 05.10.2025 before the respondents seeking inclusion of the names of the petitioner and his wife in the birth certificate of their adoptive son viz., Hariharan. However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 05.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the

same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to submit a copy of the representation dated 05.10.2025 before the 2nd respondent. Upon receipt of such representation, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.
