This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for having committed contempt of Court for willfully disobeying the order, dated 29.07.2015 passed in W.P.No.10958 of 2013.
2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents/contemners submitted that, the order passed by this Court, dated 29.07.2015 is complied with and he also produced the proceedings of the District Educational Officer, Block Development Officer and Chief Educational Officer issued to the petitioners, dated 24.08.2019, 27.09.2019, 24.10.2019, 25.10.2019 and 30.10.2019 respectively before this Court for reference and submitted that based on the said proceedings, arrears of salary has been settled to the petitioners in their respective account 2/4
through ECS. It is his further submission that, pursuant to the order, dated 16.09.2019, passed by this Court, the Director of Elementary Education, Chennai, second respondent is present before this Court and his personal appearance may be dispensed with.
3. In view of the aforesaid submission, this Contempt Petition is closed. Consequently, the Director of Elementary Education, Chennai, is discharged from the contempt proceedings. Since the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners expressed some grievance over the aforesaid proceedings, this Court makes it clear that, if the petitioners are aggrieved by the aforesaid proceedings, they are at liberty to agitate the same before appropriate Forum, in the manner known to law. The connected Sub Application also stands closed. No costs.
