PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent in his proceedings bearing No.38/BCDFGISSSV/2025 dated 28.01.2025 under Tamilnadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot-leggers, Cyber Law offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goonda, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14) and quash the same and direct the respondent to produce the detenue, Munusamy, son of Marimuthu, now confined in Central Puzhal Prison, Chennai before this court and set the detenue, Munusamy, son of Marimuthu at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.1037, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 03.03.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
