PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to implement the study in unit at the research levels and the Indian Panchang at Primary and Secondary levels in our educational Institutions pursuant to the representation of the petitioner dated 11.09.2017.

Order of the Court was made by Ms.Indira Banerjee, Chief Justice) After hearing learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and on perusal of the writ petition and the documents appended to the typed set of documents filed on behalf of the petitioner in support of the writ petition, we dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent Nos.2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 to consider introducing Ancient Astronomical and Scientific Treatises as subjects of study in educational institutions in accordance with law. No costs.
