Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's Application dated 06.11.2019 under Section 16 and 17 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 read with TNEB Act to the first respondent within a time frame as prescribed by this Court.

O R D E R

The relief as such sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's Application dated 06.11.2019 under Section 16 and 17 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 read with TNEB Act.

2. The learned Standing Counsel for the Electricity Board submitted that the tower has been erected and the electric lines have been drawn and they have energized with regard to the application filed by the petitioner. It is submitted that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

first respondent / the District Magistrate, has directed the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvallur, to inspect the property and submit a report. It appears that the inspection is yet to take place. Therefore, there will be a direction to the first respondent to direct the Revenue Divisional Officer to complete the inspection within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and after obtaining the inspection report, hear the petitioner as well as the respondent Board and pass a reasoned order on merits and in accordance with law.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
