Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondent to append the Birth Certificate of the petitioner bearing Registration No.56 and the Decree in O.S.No.256/2013 obtained by the petitioner and other mandatory documents produced by the petitioner, with signature, followed by Name and the Official Designation Seal, in light of the direction given by this Court in W.P.Nos.5047 of 2019 and 6385 of 2019. O R D E R

Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for the following relief: To direct the respondent to append the Birth Certificate of the petitioner bearing Registration No.56 and the Decree in O.S.No.256/2013 obtained by the petitioner and other mandatory documents produced by the petitioner, with Signature, Name and the Official Seal of the Under Secretary and issue the same to the petitioner in the light of the representation dated 27.01.2019.

3. It is seen that the Birth Certificate dated 01.03.2017 issued to the petitioner by the Greater Chennai Corporation and the Decree dated 23.01.2014 has already been verified and authenticated by the Under Secretary to the Government, Public https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

(Foreigners) Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai on 07.03.2017 and 15.03.2017 respectively. Now, the petitioner seeks for appending the name of the Under Secretary, who verified and authenticated the Birth Certificate and the Decree, as the same is required by the Consulate of the other Country. Since it is seen that already the Under Secretary has verified and authenticated the Birth Certificate and the Decree issued to the petitioner, there will not be any impediment for appending the name of the Under Secretary, who authenticated the said Certificate and Decree as required by the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and append the name of the Under Secretary, who verified and authenticated the Birth Certificate and the Decree in O.S.No.256/2013. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
