ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in MP.No.1 of 2013 in WP.No.28623 of 2013 dated 22.10.2013.

2. While admitting the writ petition, this Court granted interim order of injunction in MP.No.1 of 2013 restraining the respondents 1 to 3 herein from laying road on the land belongs to the petitioners comprised in old survey No.97, new survey No.97/1A, situated at No.34, Eaygatur Village, Tiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram Ditrict to an extent of 12.5 cents except by due process of law.

3. The first respondent filed counter and revealed that there was no attempt made by them for formation or road as alleged by the petitioners in the writ petition. Further, the alleged land being patta land belongs to private parties, the Government has no role in formation of the said road and Rules also do not permit the same. Therefore, the respondents 1 to 3 have no power either to form a road or to stop such action, if any taken by the land 2/3

owners in their premises.
