Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records, relating to petitioner's detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order, dated 08.08.2014 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings BDFGISSV No.918/2014 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the said petitioner namely Nithya @ Nithyanandam @ Pallu Nithya, son of Venugopal, aged 27 years before this Court and set the petitioner at liberty from detention, now petitioner detained at Central Prison - II, Puzhal, Chennai 600 066. The petitioner, who is the detenu, Nithya @ NIthyanandam @ Pallu Nithya, Son of Venugopal, aged about 27 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 08.08.2014 against him branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the petitioner on 08.08.2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.4743, dated 26.09.2014 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
