Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders on the recommendations submitted by the Expert Committee constituted as per G.O.(1D) No. 54 School Education (X2) Department dated 05.03.2013 with reference to minimum land area for the existing schools prior to G.O.Ms. No. 48 School Education (X2) Department dated 21.07.2004, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders on the recommendations submitted by the Expert Committee constituted as per G.O.(1D) No. 54 School Education (X2) Department dated 05.03.2013 with reference to minimum land area for the existing schools prior to G.O.Ms. No. 48 School Education (X2) Department dated 21.07.2004, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

When the writ petition is taken up, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that a final decision, on the recommendations of the Expert Committee, constituted for the purpose, will be taken by the 1st respondent before the end of June, 2016, soon after the receipt of report from the Director of Matriculation Schools. Though very many contentions have been raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner, in view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, there is no need to traverse into those contentions. Hence, recording the submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
