ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 13.08.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for cancellation of patta that stands in the name of the 4 th respondent and issue patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property. 2.

Heard Mr.P.Krishnamurthy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader for Respondents 1 to 3.

3.

The specific case of the petitioner is that the patta and the revenue records were originally standing in the name of the petitioner's father. Thereafter, the petitioner's father executed a settlement deed in favour of the

petitioner on 03.07.2023. While so, the 4 th respondent has managed to obtain patta in her name. The petitioner therefore made a representation seeking for cancellation of patta issued in the name of the 4 th respondent and to restore the patta in the name of the petitioner. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions. 4.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the 2 nd respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order. The 2 nd respondent on receipt of the same shall issue notice to the 4 th respondent and after affording opportunity to the petitioner and the 4 th respondent, shall pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a fresh representation from the petitioner. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
