Civil Revision Petition filed under section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Buildings against the judgment and fair decretal order in R.C.A. No. 576 of 2014 on the file of the learned IX Judge Court of Small Causes, Chennai (Rent Control Appellate Authority) dated 08.06.2017, confirming the order in RCOP No. 1234 of 2011 on the file of the learned X Judge Court of Small Causes, Madras dated 19/08/2014.

O R D E R

The tenant is the petitioner before this Court. On service, Mr.A.Murali learned counsel entered appearance on behalf of the respondent/landlord.

2. After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner/tenant has undertaken to vacate the premises and hand over the vacant possession on or before 31.08.2018. To that effect an affidavit of undertaking was also filed before this Court.

3. The enormous time sought for by the petitioner, for vacating and handing over vacant possession of the petition premises is strongly opposed by the respondent/landlord.

4. After considering the submissions made by both the parties and on consideration of the affidavit of undertaking filed by the petitioner, the time for vacating the petition premises and handing over vacant possession to the respondent is fixed as eight months, from today.

5. Accordingly, the petitioner shall vacate petition premises and handover the vacant possession of the petition premises bearing New No. 22, Old No. 33, Venkatachala Naicken Street, Komaleeswaranpet, Chennai-600002 on or before 30/06/2018.

6. With above observation, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
