ORDER

A complaint against this petitioner, regarding extortion and stealing of Rs.2,000/-, is registered in Crime No.2090 of 2021 and it is under investigation for the offences under Sections 384 and 506(i) of I.P.C.

2. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a Whistle blower and has been giving complaints against TASMAC shops which are run illegally beyond the prescribed time. Being aggrieved, the staffs of the TASMAC has conspired to initiate criminal proceedings in connivance with the Police.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent submits that the petitioner herein is under the habit of intimidating TASMAC shops and other eateries near the TASMAC and collect money from them. Based on the complaint given by one Thirumurugan, Crime No.2090/2021 is under investigation.

4. This Court, on reading the complaint, finds that there is prima facie material regarding commission of cognizable offence. This requires proper 2/4

investigation and this is not the case to be quashed in exercise of powers under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.
