Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 08.09.2010 and 27.10.2012 and thereby direct the respondents to allot the land and to grant patta to the 276 members list enclosed in the Writ Petition in Survey Nos.152/1, 152/2, and 153 at No.87, Veppampattu Chatram Village, Tiruvallur Taluk and District without any futher delay.

O R D E R
The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider their representations dated 08.09.2010 and 27.10.2012 and directing the respondents to allot the land and to grant patta to the 276 members, whose names were enclosed in the Writ Petiiton, in respect of Survey Nos.152/1, 152/2, and 153 at No.87, Veppampattu Chatram Village, Tiruvallur Taluk.
2. When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, Mrs. P. Rajalakshmi, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the land in Survey Nos.152/1, 152/2, and 153 are Meikal Poramboke and therefore, no house site patta can be granted to the petitioners. However, the learned counsel submitted that since the representations given by the petitioners are pending from 2010, the 4th respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners'
representations dated 08.09.2010 and 27.10.2012 and pass orders, in accordance of law.
3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 4th respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 08.09.2010 and 27.10.2012 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
