Respondents PRAYER :Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order dated 17.02.2018 passed by the 2nd respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 53/Tu.Kaa.Ka/Po.U.Ko/2018 and quash the same consequently direct the respondents to grant permission for public meeting to celebrate 70th Birth Anniversary of Hon'ble former Chief Minister Selvi J.Jayalalitha on 28.02.2018 or any other date to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R

The prayer in the Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order dated 17.02.2018 passed by the 2nd respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 53/Tu.Kaa.Ka/Po.U.Ko/2018 and quash the same consequently direct the respondents to grant permission for public meeting to celebrate 70th Birth Anniversary of Hon'ble former Chief Minister Selvi J.Jayalalitha on 28.02.2018 or any other date to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Heard Mr.P.Athiveeraramapandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.

The learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the third respondent police is willing to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the public meeting for commemorating 70th Birth Anniversary of former Chief Minister Selvi J.Jayalalitha on 14.03.2018.

In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the third respondent seeking for necessary permission to conduct the public meeting for commemorating 70th Birth Anniversary of former Chief Minister Selvi J.Jayalalitha on 14.03.2018.

5. On receipt of such representation, the third respondent shall pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible. It is open to the third respondent to impose reasonable restrictions to regulate the said meeting.

With above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
