Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second Respondent herein to provide necessary police protection based on petitioner representation dated 29.09.2024 for demolition of old aged building and to vacate the third respondent from shop Door No 15, situated in Arcot Town, Arani Road, Ranipet District and hand over the possession to the petitioner. This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the second Respondent herein to provide necessary police protection based on petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned premises bearing Door No.15, situated at Arcot Town, Arani Road, Ranipet District and let out in favour of the first respondent. The petitioner filed a representation dated 29.09.2024 in order to demolish the said building and also to vacate the same, he sought for police protection.

4. The police protection can be issued only to the life and limb of a person. Therefore, the direction sought for in this petition cannot be considered.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
