Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to pass an order for Extend the Time depositing the Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.1000/- in favour of the Registrar General High Court of Madras in DD No.511110 dated 19.04.2017 in order dt. 11.04.2017 in WP No.8726 / 2017 and for directing the Registry to accept the deposit of the Demand Draft.(in WMP No.11421 of 2017)pending of above WP.8726/2017 Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.SYED MUSTAFA, Advocate for the petitioner the court made the following order:- This petition is filed by the Writ Petitioners to extend the time for deposit, pursuant to the order dated 11.04.2017. This court, while issuing notice to the respondents on 11.04.2017, directed the petitioners to deposit the cost of amount of Rs.1,000/- [Rupees one thousand only] before this court, within a period of one week.
According to the petitioners, the Demad Draft for a sum of Rs.1,000/- was taken on 19.04.2017. Since the time prescribed by this court expired in the meantime, the petitioners have come up with this application.
We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. In view of the reasons found mentioned in the affidavit filed in support of the application and taking into account the production of Demand Draft dated 19.04.2017, this petition is allowed.
