..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the application dated 21.01.2020 and reminder dated 29.09.2020, 31.12.2020 for the issuance of community certificate to the petitioner that he belongs to Kurumans(ST)Community.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M. SATHYANARAYANAN, J.) The petitioner claims that he belongs to Hindu Scheduled Tribe Kurumans Community and in all his school records, the said community name is reflected and that apart, his cousin brother namely, R.Amrithaligam, has also obtained the community certificate dated 18.05.1995 issued by the respondent and more over, many of his relatives have also been issued with such certificates.

2. The petitioner submitted an application dated 21.01.2020 to the respondent praying for issuance of the Hindu Scheduled Tribe Kurumans Community Certificate and despite the participation in the inquiry, no orders came to be passed and, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

therefore, constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.

Heard the submissions Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Kamalesh Kannan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, who would submit that in the light of the materials made available, the respondent would pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the rival submissions and the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in the application dated 21.01.2020 or in this writ petition, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 21.01.2020 praying for issuance of the Hindu Scheduled Tribe Kurumans Community Certificate in his favour, in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order or uploading of the order in the website and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
