Heard Mr.Adithya, for Mr.S.Arivazhagan, for petitioner and Mr.C.Vigneshwaran, for 1st respondent.

The petitioner seeks early disposal of the appeal in SA/18805/SCIC/2025 within a time frame.

Mr.Vigneshwaran states that the State Information Commission (SIC) is currently dealing with appeals of the year 2023 and gives priority only to senior citizens above the age of 60 years. As the appeal has been filed only in November, it would not be possible to take up the appeal for disposal out of turn.

A reading of the affidavit shows that certain issues raised therein affect public interest. It is the 1st respondent to endeavour the disposal of the appeal as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
