O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by S.Manikumar,J) Alleging disobedience of the order made in W.A. No.799 of 2017, dated 19.07.2017, Ms.T.Vimala, appellant, has filed Contempt Petition No.2281 of 2017 as against the District Educational Officer, Tiruppur District. Though notice was ordered on 23.01.2018, there was no appearance on 29.01.2018, when contempt petition was listed, which constrained us to issue a statutory notice, pursuant to

which Tmt.R.Chitra, District Educational Officer, Tiruppur District, Tiruppur, has appeared in person.

2. Inviting the attention of this court to the proceedings in Na.Ka. No.7196/A1/2014 dated 22.02.2018 of the District Educational Officer, Tiruppur District, Tiruppur, Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate (Education) submitted that the order of this court made in W.A. No.799 of 2017, has been complied with and the the respondent seeks apology for the delay.

3. Writ petitioner has been made to wait for more than seven years, to secure employment on compassionate grounds, which ought to have been done immediately, to tied over the financial constraint faced by the bereaved family. Employment has been given only after initiation of contempt proceedings. Taking note of the above, while disposing of the contempt petition, we order payment of cost of Rs.10,000/- towards litigation expenses, borne by the writ petitioner, to be paid by the Education Department to the writ petitioner. We make it clear that it is not the personal costs imposed on the respondent.

4. Petitioner shall report before the District Educational Officer, Tiruppur District, Tiruppur, on 28.02.2018, with all documents.
