Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to issue appointment orders for the post of Special Teachers in Drawing under the PSTM (Persons Studied in Tamil Medium) quota pursuant to the Notification No.05/2017, dated 26.07.2017 coming under the Tamil Nadu Educational Subordinate Service based on the Tentative Provisional Selection List for Drawing dated 13.08.2018 published by the first respondent.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to issue appointment orders for the post of Special Teachers in Drawing under the PSTM (Persons Studied in Tamil Medium) quota pursuant to the Notification No.05/2017, dated 26.07.2017 coming under the Tamil Nadu Educational Subordinate Service based on the Tentative Provisional Selection List for Drawing dated 13.08.2018 published by the first respondent. 2. Heard Ms.C.Uma, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent and Mr.M.Rajendran, learned Additional Government Pleader for R1.
3. The petitioners have applied for the post of Special Teachers in Drawing under Notification No.05/2017 dated 26.07.2017. The petitioners attended the written examination and subsequently, they were called for certificate verification. The petitioners' names were also included in the tentative provisional selection list dated 13.08.2018 in Serial Nos. 92,162,165,166,169,171,174,241,247,284 and 287. However, no appointment orders were issued to the petitioners even though they were fully qualified for the post of Special Teachers in Drawing under PSTM quota. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.
4. Similarly placed persons have filed a Writ Petition in W.P.(MD) No.27630 of 2023, wherein, a direction has been given to complete the selection process on or before 31.01.2024 and issue appointment orders Page No.3 of 6
to the petitioners therein on or before 28.02.2024. In that case, the petitioners are also at liberty to produce the required certificates to show that they have studied in Tamil Medium.

With these observations, this Writ Petition is disposed and the petitioners are at liberty to produce the required certificates to show that they have studied in Tamil Medium and on such production, the first respondent shall verify and consider the petitioners' candidature under the relevant category and publish the results as directed in the order dated 30.11.2023 in W.P.
