Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of habeas corpus, calling for the records in connection with the order of Detention of the petitioner's son Perumal @ Eli Perumal, Son of Elumalai, M/A 26 years has been detained under 14/82, as a "Goonda" vide detention order, dated 14.08.2014, on the file of the 2nd respondent herein, made in Memo No.953/BDFGJSSV/2014, quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenue before this Court and thereafter, set him at liberty from the Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the impugned order of detention has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.5023, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 07.10.2014. Copy of the said Government Order, submitted to this Court, shall form part of the record.
