Heard both sides.

2.This Court on earlier occasion directed the respondent to file counter regarding the alleged non cooperative attitude on the part of the petitioner for completing the investigation. Though counter is filed today, the same does not contain sufficient averments to show that it is the petitioner who did not cooperate for the expeditious investigation and the same does also not contain sufficient cause for the delay.

3.However, this Court is inclined to close the contempt petition with liberty given to the petitioner to avail further remedy by way of protest petition on receipt of RCS notice, with further direction issued to the respondent/police to avoid unnecessary delay either in registering the complaint or completing the investigation in future.
