Prayer:- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2015 and thereby direct the respondents to issue patta in respect of the property situated in Natham Survey No.105/1 to an extent of 0.00.5 Ares or 1 1⁄4 cents Mangalampettai Post, Viruthachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District - 606 104 in the name of the petitioner. By consent, the writ petition is take up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 13.02.2015, to the respondents stating among other things that he is in absolute possession and enjoyment of a landed property situated in Survey No.105/1 admeasuring 0.00.5 Ares or 11⁄4 cents at Mangalampettai Post, Viruthachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District - 606 104. He has been issued with various documents to prove his possession. The said property is also subjected to statutory levy. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that in spite of such long possession, patta has not been issued either in the name of his predecessor or in the name of the petitioner. Therefore, he submitted a representation dated 13.02.2015 for issuance of patta. Since he has not been favoured with any response, he came forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Rajesh Kanna, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 4.

4. This Court, without going into the merits of the representation of the petitioner directs the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 13.02.2015, for issuance of patta, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
