ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the first and second respondent to cancel the entry relating to the Birth Certificate of the minor petitioner, which was registered as No.29 of 2014, issued vide proceedings No.1296/2014 dated 17.05.2014.

2. The petitioner, who is a minor was born on 14.01.2011. He also has another Birth Certificate, which says that he was born on 24.10.2010. Naturally, this identity crisis must be resolved at the earliest. There was some discord between the parents but now, they have resolved all their issues and they both unanimously agree that he was born only on 14.01.2011. In this connection, a representation has been given to the jurisdictional Tahsildar, who had forwarded the same to the second respondent.

3. Let the second respondent examine the entire issue, and if required call upon the parents of the minor child to appear before him and after coming to subjecting satisfaction, give necessary directions for correcting the date of Birth of the petitioner herein. The said exercise to be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If this requires the wrong date of Birth to be cancelled that step may also be taken.
