These Writ Petitions have been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue joint patta for the petitioner's properties.

2. Today, when the matter is listed under the caption 'for reporting compliance', the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the petitioners applications were rejected on the ground that the petitioners are not able to identify the boundaries of the land purchased by them in S.No.20 part, S.No.22/1, S.No.22/2A2, S.No.22/3A2, S.No.22/4B, S.No.23/1B and S.No.23/2A2 of Manjambakkam Village, Madhavaram Taluk, and the said portion of land purported to have been purchased by the petitioners in above said survey numbers is not peg-marked with boundary stones, fencing or compound wall. The learned counsel for the petitioner also ratifies the same.

3. Recording the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, no further adjudication is required in the present Writ Petition. However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to work out their remedy in the manner known to law. Accordingly, these writ petitions are disposed of with the aforesaid liberty to the petitioners .
