ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for offence under sections 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w. 7(1)(a)(ii) of EC Act 1955 in Crime Number.8 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The petitioner herein is an absconding accused in a case of illegal possession of PDS rice, wherein the respondent police has seized 1,100 kgs of PDS rice and thereafter the petitioners fleeded from the scene of crime on seeing the riding party.
3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent persons and he has not involved in any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submits that there are similar cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed for granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Taking note of the antecedents of the petitioner and the amount of PDS rice involved in the alleged occurrence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
