ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to give necessary protection for loading the vehicles of the petitioner's association at Jinthal Steel Works, Potteneri, Mecheri, Salem District.

The petitioner seeks direction to the respondents to give police protection. Now, almost a year has been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous since nothing survives in this petition.

With the above observation, this Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
