This original petition has been filed taking advantage of Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 seeking Succession Certificate with respect to the securities in the name of the mother P.Rajalakshmi of the four petitioners. The details of the securities had been given in the schedule to the petition. They include shares in Sundaram Brake Linings Ltd., and in TVS Motor Company Limited.

2.The paper publication was effected and thereafter, evidence had been recorded. The 1st petitioner, Jeyasri Srikanth, examined herself as PW1. The death certificate of her mother P.Rajalakshmi was marked as Ex.P1 and the death certificate of her father N.Padmanabhan was marked as Ex.P2. The legal heirship certificate of N.Padmanabhan who died after P.Rajalakshmi was marked as Ex.P3. The statement with respect to the shares was marked as Ex.P4. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th petitioners had given their consent affidavit and they were marked as Exs.P5 to P7. The copy of the paper publication was marked as Ex.P8.

smv 3.In view of the evidence adduced, this Original Petition stands allowed. The Succession Certificate may be issued in the name of the 1st petitioner, Jeyasri Srikanth.
