This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 384 of 2021 on the file of learned Judicial Magistrate, Addl. Mahila Court, Chengalpattu.
2. Today when the matter taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that inspite of stay granted by this court on 23.03.2022, the trial court has committed the proceedings in S.C.No.204 of 2022 and the same is pending on the file of Addl. Mahila Court, Chengalpattu. Hence, the prayer sought in this petition as such is not maintainable and prayed to dismiss this petition. 2/4
3. On perusal of records, it reveals that this court granted an order of stay on 23.03.2022, inspite of that, the trial court had committed the proceedings in S.C.No.204 of 2022. Hence, the prayer sought by the petitioners as such is not maintainable. Hence, this petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
