Respondents PRAYER in Crl.O.P.No.13965 of 2018 : Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C to direct the respondent(s) police to consider the petitioner representation dated 16.05.2018 and thereby accord permission and protection for the functions and to conduct "Adal-Padal Cultural programmes" scheduled to be held on 31.05.2018 in Sri Muththumariyamman Temple in Valasai Village, Cuddalore District.

C O M M O N O R D E R These petitions have been filed to direct the respondents police to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners and pass appropriate orders for conducting temple festivals and cultural programmes. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioners have submitted that even though the petitioners have submitted representations before the respondent well in advance seeking permission and police protection for conducting temple festival and also for conducting cultural programmes, so far the respondent police have not passed any order and hence they request to direct the respondent police to dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioners at an early date.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that because of the law and order problem those representations are kept pending. 4.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioners' representations and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law before the date of the programme and intimate the same to the concerned petitioners.

With the above observation and direction, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
