ORDER

The Petitioner/wife has filed this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition seeking to withdraw the H.M.O.P No.27 of 2024 pending on the file of the Subordinate Court, Kancheepuram and transfer the same to the file of the Family Court, Chennai.

2. The respondent-husband had filed H.MO.P.No.27 of 2024 on the file of the Subordinate Court, Kancheepuram for divorce.

3. The petitioner-wife would submit that she is residing at Pallikaranai and working at Adyar and that travelling to Kancheepuram to attend the hearing is causing quite a strain on her. She would submit that the Sub Court, Kancheepuram does not have jurisdiction since her residence nor the respondent's residence would fall within the jurisdiction of the said Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

5. Though the request is made for transferring the matter to the Family Court at Chennai, however taking note of the fact that the petitioner is residing at Pallikaranai, it is only the Subordinate Court, Alandur that has the jurisdiction. Accordingly, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is disposed of and H.M.O.P.No.27 of 2024 pending on the file of the Subordinate Court, Kancheepuram shall stand 2/4

withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Subordinate Court, Alandur No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 03.04.2025 Index: Yes/No Speaking order/non-speaking order srn To,
