Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to include the petitioner's name in the promotion list passed by the 2nd respondent in Ku.No.31/1/np2/u1/ko.c.n Foreman/2014-2 dated 26.08.2014 and consider the petitioner's name for promotion to the one post of Special Grade Foreman which is to fall vacant on 31.05.2015 on account of the superannuation of one J.Edwin, Special Grade Foreman, Power House - 3, Parali Camp, Coimbatore District, keeping his seniority over the third respondent herein in view.

2.Though the prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to include the petitioner's name in the promotion list passed by the second respondent in Ku.No.31/1/np2/u1/ko.c.n Foreman/2014-2 dated 26.08.2014 and consider him for promotion to the one post of Special Grade Foreman, which is to fall vacant on 31.05.2015, on account of the superannuation of one J.Edwin, Special Grade Foreman, Power House - 3, Parali Camp, Coimbatore District, keeping in view his seniority over the third respondent herein, at the time of hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 20.03.2015. 3.Since a limited prayer is made at the time of hearing, the first respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the result to the petitioner.
