Heard, Mr.G.Pavendhan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks for grant of patta. Admittedly, the land is Government Poramboke. The petitioner has right for grant of patta elsewhere, if the petitioner is a person who is suffered backward and living below poverty line.

3. There are various schemes issued by the Government for the people living below the poverty line.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the second respondent by way of an application for grant of fresh house site patta, if the petitioner is eligible for grant of the same. No costs.
