Respondents Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the 4th respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner on her complaint dated 12.02.2025 pending before the respondents. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking police protection based on the petitioner's complaint dated 12.02.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner claims ownership of the property in Plot No.7, S.No.82/30 Part, Patta No.7142, admeasuring 3825 sq.ft. situated at Chinna Neelankarai Village, Ranjith Nagar Layout, Sholinghanallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. While being so, the petitioner became the owner of the property by way of settlement deed executed by her husband registered vide document No.8937 of 2018 on 13.12.2018. However, the petitioner is being prevented from enjoying the property. Since the issue is civil in nature between the petitioner and the counter party, police protection cannot be granted.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief.
