This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondent Police, the Inspector of Police, D-4 Jambazaar Police Station, Chennai-600 014, not to harass the petitioner herein in Crime No. not known of 2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. It is seen that petition enquiry is pending against this petitioner in CSR.No.211 of 2015 and CSR No.228 of 2015. Under such circumstances, no blanket orders of not to harass can be passed. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield if the petitioner is involved in cognizable offence.
