The Special Deputy Tahsildar, Urban Land Tax, Collectorate, ..Respondents Prayer : WMP is filed to pleased to amend the prayer in WP No. 25809 of 2024 by challenging the notification issued by the 4th respondent praying for issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the entire records in respect of the notification of Tamil Nadu Government Gazette in Form V (No.2670/81/A2) and consequently, the Form VI has been issued in (SR No. 2670/81/ A2), whereby published notification in VI(1)/1263/90 in Part VI Sec.1 and Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated 26.09.1990 SR No. 5938/82/A2 in Form VI, dated 26.10.1990 (No. VI(1) /1579/ 90 issued by the 4th respondent and quash the same.

Instead of issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records relating to the impugned order passed by the 4th respondent in his Letter No. Na.Ka. 955/ 2013 A2, dated Nil 08.2013 and quash the same in so far relate to the Survey No.8/1B, 8/2 Upplipalayam Village, Coimbatore South Taluk and consequently directing the 8th respondent to receive the settlement deed dated

19.08.2024 and register the same and handover the original settlement deed to the petitioner.

ORDER

The petitioner had originally challenged letter issued in August 2013 and prayed for a consequential direction to receive and register the settlement deed dated 19.08.2024. By this miscellaneous petition, the petitioner seeks to amend the relief claimed so as to challenge the notification under the Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978.

2. Upon examining the reasons set out in the affidavit and being satisfied that this petition is liable to be allowed as prayed for, this petition stands allowed. Consequently, the Registry is directed to carry out the amendments in the main writ petition.

3. List the main writ petition on 02.04.2026. The State is granted leave to file additional counter to the amended writ petition. 26-02-2026 KJ
