ORDER

The grievance of the petitioner in this case is that he has been facing a departmental enquiry and as such he has filed this petition seeking a direction to direct the enquiry officer to conduct and conclude the enquiry and the departmental proceeding initiated against him within a stipulated period.

2. Mr.V.Kadhirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent takes notice and submits that in this case enquiry officer already been appointed and enquiry also been commenced and the petitioner also appeared before the enquiry officer.

3. Considering the facts and submissions made, this Court disposes of this writ petition with an observation that the enquiry officer taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the matter, shall conduct and conclude the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

enquiry as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order if there is no other legal impediment. However, the petitioner shall cooperate with the enquiry officer in the said proceeding.

4. With the aforesaid order, the writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, in the circumstances there shall be no order as to costs.
