The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to cancel the Sale Deed, which was executed in the year 1988.
2. The complaint given by the petitioner for cancellation of the Sale Deed is based on the Circular No.67 of 2011 issued by the Inspector General of Registration. The said Circular has already been withdrawn and therefore, the petitioner has to approach the competent Civil Court of law for the purpose of declaring the document as null and void.
3. The case of the petitioner would not fall under Section 77-A of the Registration Act, since the Sale Deed was executed in the year 1988. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent Civil Court of law for the redressal of his grievance.
4. With this observation, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
