ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to include the petitioners name in the promotion panel list for the post of Radio grapher by extending relaxation granted to similarly placed CRA qualified Dark Room Assistants and in the light of the eligibility norms recognized by AERB and consequently promote the petitioners by considering the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 5.2.2026.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioners are working as Dark Room Assistants in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Subordinate Service. The petitioners possessed certificate of Radiography Assistant qualification which was in existence till 2013. The petitioners were appointed in the year 2023 and they have completed more than two years of service. In the meanwhile, the third respondent presently preparing the promotion panel for Radiographer post by considering only Diploma candidates. Therefore, the petitioners have made a representation dated 05.02.2026 requesting to relax the rules and seeking promotion to them and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners

representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2026 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
