Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondent for his act of wilful disobedience of the order passed by this court in W.P.No. 9693 of 2017, dated 27.04.2017.

ORDER

By order dated 27.04.2017, this Court passed an order in the writ petition in W.P.No. 9693 of 2017, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner has filed the Contempt Petition stating that the respondent has not obeyed the orders of this court.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent had complied with the orders of this court and considered the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2016, by passing an order dated 15.09.2017. The learned Government Advocate also produced a copy of the order dated 15.09.2016.

4. In view of the same, I do not find any reason to keep the contempt petition pending. The contempt petition is closed. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved over the order passed by the respondent, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the same, in accordance with law.
