The petitioner has filed this petition to direct 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's complaint dated 02.08.2024 under Senior Citizens Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was allotted with a property situated at New No.10, Block No.3, Plot No.71, Chennai Urban Development Scheme-I, "D" Type, 26th street, Sidco Nagar, Villivakkam, Chennai - 600 049 comprised in S.No.249/3A1A/3B to an extent of 800 sq.ft. by the Slum Clearance Board. After, obtaining a sale deed in the year 1994, the petitioner has settled the said property in favour of his sons viz., S.Ebinezer and S.Jai Kumar in the year 2002. This being the case, the petitioner has cancelled the aforesaid settlement deed in the year 2012, and executed a new settlement deed, including his sons and his foster daughter R.Shanthi/third respondent vide Doc.No.4098 of 2012 dated 05.11.2012.
Due to alleged harassment by the third respondent, the petitioner filed a complaint under the Senior Citizens Act on 29.07.2024, seeking cancellation of the settlement deed dated 05.11.2012. The complaint was taken up on 02.08.2024, and enquiries were conducted on 28.08.2024 and 12.12.2024. But, till date no order has been passed by the respondents 1 & 2. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition. Page No.
3. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the second respondent has already completed the enquiry and yet to pass orders on the complaint given by the petitioner.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the second respondent to pass appropriate orders on the enquiry conducted by him, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. This writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation and direction. No costs.
